Your recipes stay on your device — unless you log in.
Without logging in, your recipes, plans, and lists live in your browser only. We can't see them. Clear your browser data to delete everything.
When you log in, we store your data on secure servers (Google Firebase) so you can access it from any device.
What we collect and why.
If you log in, we store your account details (email, display name), recipes, meal plans, shopping lists, pantry stock, custom items, and app settings. This lets everything sync across your devices.
If you create or join a household, all your recipes, meal plans, shopping lists, pantry stock, and settings are shared with every household member. Everyone in the household can view and edit this shared data in real time.
We also track anonymous feature usage patterns to help improve Lazy Sous.
Who sees your data.
Only your household members (if you've joined one) can see and edit your shared recipes, plans, and lists. We use Google Firebase to host and sync your data — they help us run the app but don't use your data for their own purposes.
How long we keep it.
Synced data is stored until you delete your account or ask us to remove it. Anonymous usage analytics are kept for up to 90 days.
Your rights.
At any time, you can access, correct, delete, or export your data — or contact us for help. You can manage your data in the app settings.
Cookies & tracking.
We use cookies to manage login sessions, store preferences, and capture anonymous usage stats.
Subscriptions.
Lazy Sous offers optional auto-renewing subscriptions ($2.99/month or $19.99/year). Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel anytime in your device's Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
Authentication.
We support Sign in with Apple and Google Sign-In. We receive only your account identifier and display name — never your password. You can sign out or delete your account at any time.
Children.
Lazy Sous is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
Security.
Data transfers are encrypted. Login is protected. Local storage is sandboxed in your browser. No payment info is stored by us — payments are handled entirely by Apple.
International transfers.
Our servers may be hosted in the US. We rely on Google's infrastructure and data protection standards.
